Filipino pork barbecue

This is one of my favorite pork barbecue recipes, the pork meat will be sweet and spicy, and you can quickly eat them because they came skewered on bamboo sticks. The lemon from the marinade is tempered once cooked, leaving you with tasty, earthy lemon flavors on your Filipino style pork bbq.

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup banana ketchup
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup lemon, lime soda, 7 up or Sprite


  • Slice the pork into thin pieces. Then put them in a big bowl and add all the other ingredients. Now cover the bowl and marinate for at least 3 hours.
  • Put the marinated pork on bamboo skewers.
  • Grill the meat 3-5 minutes on each side and don't forget to baste.
